Purpose

The proposed rule chapter provides for Commission’s implementation of the provisions of Sections 112.3187-112.31895, F.S., making it unlawful for any agency or independent contractor of an agency to take retaliatory action against an employee who reports violations of law to an appropriate agency under Sections 112.3187-112.31895, F.S.; the “Whistle-blower’s Act.”

Summary

The proposed rule chapter provides the Commission’s procedures for handling complaints alleging retaliatory action against an employee who reports violations of law to an appropriate agency under Sections 112.3187-112.31895, F.S.

Regulatory Costs

None. Any person who wishes to provide information regarding the statement of estimated regulatory cost, or to provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative must do so in writing within 21 days of this notice.

60Y-11.005 Relationship of Other Rules.

Other rules adopted by the Commission, namely Chapters 60Y-3, 60Y-4 and 60Y-5, F.A.C., shall be the rules governing a proceeding under this chapter to the extent that such other rules do not contradict a specific provision herein.
