Requests for Emergency Hearings shall comply with the 17th Judicial Circuit’s definition of an Emergency, be in writing, and submitted to the Court as outlined herein.
Be advised – Courtesy copies of any special set hearings MUST BE SUBMITTED to the Court 5 days prior to or earlier to the hearing via e-mail (nothing over 10 pages), via-U.S. mail or hand delivered to Chambers 16-129.
Any requests for specially set hearings ½ hour or more shall be in writing. Counsel shall furnish the Court with a courtesy copy of the Motion and an estimate of how much time will be required for the hearing. These may be sent via e-mail to Div26@17th.flcourts.org, providing the communication does not exceed five pages. Any Orders can be submitted in Word Format via e-mail to Div26@17th.flcourts.org. (954) 831-7787 For any case recently transferred to the Complex Civil Division, Plaintiff’s counsel shall provide a service list with all counsel(s) names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mails and secretary’s name(s), to the Judicial Assistant @ Div26@17th.flcourts.org. The judicial assistant shall then, schedule a ½ hour Case Management Conference (CMC) for the case with notice to all counsel(s) of record. If additional time will be necessary, please notify the judicial assistant.
