LOCAL RULE 02 | COMPLEX CIVIL DIVISION (FY)

Judge Patti Englander Henning is participating in the pilot program for e-orders.
• This means that you are submitting an AGREED ORDER.
• No Agreed order to continue a hearing and/or trial.
• No agreed order to withdraw as counsel of record.
FINAL ORDER OF DISMISSAL and/or EX-PARTE ORDER COMPELLING DISCOVERY. You MUST submit these Orders through the on-line E-Order System in PDF format with the Order being the LAST page(s) of your download (i.e. motion or stipulation then order).
If your Order is approved, the judge’s electronic signature, date and time will appear at the bottom of the last page of your order.
Any hard copies of Orders dropped off or mailed to the Court will NOT be entered!

Division (26) does not conduct Motion Calendar. All Motions are specially set. The Court may also establish telephone hearings Monday through Friday on short notice, to alleviate the necessity of counsel appearing in person. The moving party shall be responsible for establishing conference calls with all counsel of record for telephonic hearings.

Be advised --- Courtroom telephonic communications have limitations!

Requests for Emergency Hearings shall comply with the 17th Judicial Circuit’s definition of an Emergency, be in writing, and submitted to the Court as outlined herein.

Be advised – Courtesy copies of any special set hearings MUST BE SUBMITTED to the Court 5 days prior to or earlier to the hearing via e-mail (nothing over 10 pages), via-U.S. mail or hand delivered to Chambers 16-129.

Any requests for specially set hearings ½ hour or more shall be in writing. Counsel shall furnish the Court with a courtesy copy of the Motion and an estimate of how much time will be required for the hearing. These may be sent via e-mail to Div26@17th.flcourts.org, providing the communication does not exceed five pages. Any Orders can be submitted in Word Format via e-mail to Div26@17th.flcourts.org. All other pleadings and correspondence exceeding five pages are to be routed via the U.S. Postal Service, hand delivered, or overnight service to:

For any case recently transferred to the Complex Civil Division, Plaintiff’s counsel shall provide a service list with all counsel(s) names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mails and secretary’s name(s), to the Judicial Assistant @ Div26@17th.flcourts.org. The judicial assistant shall then, schedule a ½ hour Case Management Conference (CMC) for the case with notice to all counsel(s) of record. If additional time will be necessary, please notify the judicial assistant.
